Super Eagles and Arsenal’s forward Alex Iwobi has said the senior national team has an array of players that can shock any country at world Cup finals in Russia next year summer. Iwobi explained during a Radio Programme yesterday that his belief was anchored on the quality of players on parade for the Eagles in the last two qualification matches for Russia 2018. “I have not seen a group of committed and talented players since I have been playing the game.
“Their mental strength and skills in all departments of the game is second to none. Infact they showed that the sport is all about team work and not about individualism. “If we take the same spirit to the World Cup next year, I think this team can shock the rest of the world in Russia.
“The friendly match against former world champions is an an indication that the Eagles can hold their own against any team in the world,” he said. He thanked the Nigerian government and its people for massive support the team has enjoyed while assuring that they would not disappoint them during the World Cup campaign.
